Do you do custom jewelry?

Yes, you can create a unique piece with me or change an existing design to your specifications.

Can I shower or go in water with my jewelry?

As with most jewelry that is gold filled or gold plated, you want to avoid water for the most part. This is to prevent color change in color since the chains, charm, or pendants are not 100% solid gold. While I use mostly gold-fill pieces (this means there is a higher percentage of gold than gold plated), it is not impossible for these chains/pendants to eventually turn if they are not properly cared for.

Do I have to send in my actual wedding dress for a wedding dress portrait?

No, I use photos of the dress. I like to have photos of the dress hanging up and also on the bride at various angles so I can get an idea of how it lays.

Do you handmake your jewelry?

Yes, with exception to electroplating on stones, carved wood pendants, or bone pendants. I also do not hand cast the charms. Everything is hand beaded, strung, designed, and soldered by me. All jewelry will be soldered when needed to ensure durability of the piece.

How should I care for my jewelry?

A general rule of thumb for jewelry is you want it to be the last thing you put on and first thing you take off. You can clean most chains with jewelry cleaner (sterling silver cleaner for sterling silver pieces). If you need to wash a piece off for whatever reason, use a mild dish soap with water and be sure to dry off completely.
