Meet Katie Price...

Why Green End? Passion for painting, drawing, creating, and the arts has always been the driving force in Katie's life...

Her family had always inspired her to create. As a child, Katie remembers her grandfather making beautiful Southwestern jewelry, working largely with silver and turquoise. "Katie the Frog," as he called her, had special bond with her grandfather. On the other side of her family, she also had a special bond with her Grandmother, who taught her how to paint watercolors and other painting techniques. It was not until recently that she realized just how much like them she has become.

Late one night, Green End came about after Katie realized that she had not been utilizing her creative side and it was screaming to be let out. It was time to begin creating again. It wasn't until after the birth of her daughter two years later that she realized she wanted to do this full time. Finally, she was creating beautiful things again.

The name "Green End" simply comes from a street name that leads to one of Katie's favorite places in the world. Rhode Island has always been a home to her and it is there where she is usually most inspired. With protected lands of wild greenery, countless hydrangea fluffs, deep navy blue water, wild thistle swaying to and fro, and "the way of the island" feel, life is pretty colorful there. In short, it is her "happy place." It will always be home.
